Mike's Comics was a comic series created by Mike G. It was started on August 14, 2003 - just two days after Mike G. had joined. It lasted for 3 seasons with a total of 109 comics - 100 comics, 1 AC#6 entry and 8 fan comics. The series ended on February 23, 2004. It was highly influential and propelled Mike G. to comic fame and respect as a comic maker, influencing many future comics, and is one of the most successful comic series of 2003.
It featured the random and goofy adventures of Mike and other Matoran, including PGSes and GSes. The comics were short in length (average of 3-4 panels) but provided a good amount of humor and earned a loyal fanbase.
Running Gags[]
The series is remembered for one of its running gags; instead of severely injuring/killing the villains as in most stereotypical comics at the time, they were turned into plushies.
Mike's "Death"[]
Mike's death is jokingly hoaxed in the Season 3 prequel, due to the fact that the Season 2 finale featured a Makuta attacker and ended with a tombstone, however you can see that in fact, it is the Makuta dying (the author points it out), not Mike - therefore the grave belongs to the Makuta.
Legacy[]
The comics have had quite an impact on BZPower - influencing many future comic makers who rose to fame in 2004, it also just may be possible that these have also partly influenced Dark709, however that is unknown. Varaka has stated him as influence.
Their legacy has been somewhat forgotten, with Dark709's Comics overshadowing them.
