|Mission: Server Downtime
- About two or three months ago, on a forum really close...
- One Author had any idea! He said "Hey, mayhaps we should make some Quad-Comic allainance?" but then, Vak completely stole the idea and edited it and now you have, Mission: Server Downtime! Mission: Server Downtime, or M:SD, follows in the footsteps of comics like Project Klinkerpoop. Four of us Authors will take tursn, building on what the last person has done. Now you can see why this might cause extremely boring blah, blah, blah, blah. Now I am just typing filler sentences to make this seem longer. Yep. Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. No really, stop reading and go to the comics. Now. Moo.
The idea of Mission: Server Downtime was created by Vak, who subsequently contacted three other comic authors with whom he worked at the time. The development of Mission: Server Downtime was indeed the subject of a large number of dealings between the authors, interlinking their various works in some ways. The main aspect of the agreement was that each would make Permanent Guest Star appearences in each of their works, though many were doing so at the time anyway; in the end, only Nukora failed to do so.
The topic was launched in January 2007 and was met with moderate success. However, eventually three of the four authors just disappeared and lost interest (possibly in relation to an XBox-vs-Wii debate between Dreiken, Vak and Dlakii), and the comics died painfully. It was commonly joked at the time that Turaga Dlakii was responsible for this, having locked Vak in a crate in one of his comics for Froops.
As part of the preparation for the series, each of the four authors was invited to create/use two characters for the series. For some reason, only Nukora didn't do so.
- Mission: Server Downtime is perhaps the only real example of any of the authors of the series being lazy.
