History

Dlakii's pet Mudkip's first appearance was in The Newsroom, in which it was initially assisting Dlakii in extricating money from Red in order to compensate for the partial destruction of Channel Billion Studios. As of yet, it hasn't reappeared in The Newsroom, though it has shown up in countless other series in its capacity as Dlakii's pet.

Most notably, Dlakii's Mudkip recur in appearance in Toranova's Comics; throughout the past few comics in the series, Mudkip has turned the entire cast (sans Dlakii) into iron statues, eaten important lists regarding the series' mysteries and disguised itself in a Channel Billion logo.

Also of note is the relative significance Mudkips play in Dlakii's role in Heroes. In the guise of the Mudkip Man, Dlakii is capable of pulling large quantities of Mudkips out of his pockets and controlling them with his mind; at one point, he even commanded an army of 50 Mudkips.

Mudkip also played a major role in Dlakii's recent The Lazy Life of a Comic Maker appearance. While Dlakii was duelling Lewajohnson, his Mudkip proceeded to challenge Beasty, Lewajohnson's cat, to a fight, winning by blowing Beasty away with a blast of water.

Powers

As a Pokémon, Mudkip is capable of learning a variety of attacks for use in battle; the only confirmed attacks that Dlakii's Mudkip knows are Hydro Pump and Iron Tail. Compared to normal Mudkips, Dlakii's Mudkip has been trained to be exceptionally fast.

Personality

Dlakii's Mudkip is portrayed as being quite aggressive.

Trivia

  • In case it isn't obvious, Mudkip is Turaga Dlakii's favourite Pokémon.
  • In everything except Heroes, Dlakii's Mudkip is based off a Mudkip trained by the real Turaga Dlakii in Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Diamond, sharing the same personality, high speed and moveset.
